Artillery Hill
Artillery Hill is a large, wooded hill south of the Santa Fe Trail (NM 50). Two sections of Federal artillery, comprising four mountain howitzers, were placed on this hill during the fighting on March 28, 1862. No physical evidence of their placement remains.
Artillery Hill is presently off limits to visitors, but it may easily be seen from NM 50.
