The Core Battlefield


The core battlefield zone comprises Pigeon's Ranch, Sharpshooter's Ridge, Artillery Hill, and Windmill Hill, an area of approximately one square mile. It was in this area that the second component of the Battle of Glorieta Pass, also called the Battle of Pigeon's Ranch, took place on March 28, 1862.
